UKmed can prepare you for a successful Annual Appraisal. To practise medicine in the UK, you first have to be issued a licence by the GMC (General Medical Council). After that, Appraisal is the requirement that all licensed doctors have their medical practice formally reviewed by an Appraiser annually. To keep your medical licence in the UK, you will have to go through Annual Appraisal approximately once every 12 months. Your Annual Appraisal is part of the GMC's Revalidation framework - one leads to the other. For your Appraisal, you will meet with a qualified and approved Appraiser. If your Appraiser recommends that you should keep your licence, the GMC will most likely uphold that recommendation. It is for the GMC to decide whether you will keep your licence or not. UKmed will support you throughout your Annual Appraisal process, from preparation through to completing the Annual Return. An Annual Return is only necessary outside the NHS, so most Doctors will not need an Annual Return. -
You are a doctor, dentist, nurse, pharmacist, midwife, physio or other healthcare professional. To get an offer of a training or non-training job from the English, Scottish, Welsh NHS, Northern Ireland’s Health and Social Care, Ireland’s public health service, a private sector hospital or a GP practice, you will have to be successful in a job selection interview. If you are a European citizen or any person with EU rights, you can get registration with the Medical Council of Ireland to work or train as a Doctor in Ireland. This is thanks to the Automatic System or the General System of recognition under European Directive 2005/36/EC. Registration in Ireland also includes the right (licence) to practise. Automatic recognition of your medical degree means that you don’t have to pass an exam as a condition for getting registered. It is the route that most European doctors make use of to practise in another member-state of the EU, including Ireland. The key condition for the automatic recognition of your medical degree in Ireland is that it is acceptable under Directive 2005/36/EC. An “acceptable” medical degree:- conforms to article 24 of the Directive,
- or your European degree, combined with your work experience and history of registration in Europe, conform to article 23 paragraph 1 of the Directive.

As a Nurse or Midwife, after Brexit your degree can still be recognised automatically for registration by the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council), as long as it is a Relevant European Qualification. If not, then you should likely follow the Test of Competence route. If you are a Nursing Associate, there is a registration route for you via the Test of Competence for Nursing Associates. There are additional requirements that make it quite a challenge for a non-UK qualified Nursing Associate to be recognised in the UK, so it’s wise to seek expert advice before you start your application. Registration from the NMC allows you to practise as a general adult Nurse or a Midwife in:- England
- Scotland
- Wales
- Northern Ireland
- the Channel Islands
- and the Isle of Man.

Διεκδικήστε θέση Ειδικότητας ή/και Foundation Year 2 στο NHS (Ην. Βασίλειο) με αξιώσεις, με ένα μοναδικό πακέτο υποστήριξης και την πείρα της UKmed. Οι αιτήσεις Ειδικότητας υποβάλλονται μέχρι τέλη Νοεμβρίου κάθε χρόνο. Οι αιτήσεις F2 Standalone υποβάλλονται μέσα στον Ιανουάριο. Στη συνέχεια, η αίτηση περνάει από τυπικό έλεγχο (longlisting). Έπειτα, οι ορθές και πλήρεις αιτήσεις περνούν στο στάδιο shortlisting, το οποίο γίνεται αδρά ως εξής:- Για F2 Standalone, shortlisting σημαίνει ότι θα δώσετε την εξέταση SJT (Situational Judgement Test) και στη συνέχεια δομημένη συνέντευξη τριών σταθμών που βαθμολογούνται από 6 Επιμελητές (Consultant).
- Για το 1ο έτος Ειδικότητας (CT1/ST1/IMT1/ACCS1 κ.λπ.), το shortlisting αλλάζει ανάλογα με την ειδικότητα. Για αρκετές ειδικότητες, θα πρέπει να δώσετε την εξέταση MSRA (Multi-Specialty Recruitment Assessment). Για άλλες θα κριθείτε με βάση τα επιτεύγματά σας (CV portfolio). Άλλες πάλι ειδικότητες αξιολογούν και το MSRA και το portfolio σας.
- Στη συνέχεια, οι περισσότερες ειδικότητες απαιτούν δομημένη συνέντευξη τριών σταθμών που βαθμολογούνται από 6 Επιμελητές (Consultant).
- Τέλος, αν ενδιαφέρεστε για την "καθαρή" Ειδικότητα, δηλαδή μετά τον κορμό (ST3 ή ST4), η αίτησή σας θα κριθεί με βάση τα επιτεύγματά σας (CV portfolio) και επίσης δομημένη συνέντευξη, εφόσον ικανοποιείτε τις προδιαγραφές (person specification).

Μετά το Brexit, το πτυχίο Οδοντιατρικής σας εξακολουθεί να αναγνωρίζεται για την εγγραφή στο GDC (General Dental Council), εφόσον είναι Συναφής Ευρωπαϊκός Τίτλος. Αν δεν είναι, τότε το πιθανότερο είναι ότι θα χρειαστεί να περάσετε τις εξετάσεις ORE για να πετύχετε την εγγραφή σας στο GDC. Η εγγραφή στο GDC θα σας επιτρέψει να εργαστείτε ως συνεργάτης Οδοντίατρος (Associate Dentist), μισθωτός του ιδιωτικού τομέα (employed Dentist), μισθωτός του ίδιου του NHS (Community Dental Service) ή καθαρά ιδιώτης Οδοντίατρος σε μία από τις παρακάτω χώρες/περιοχές του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου- Αγγλία
- Σκοτία
- Ουαλία
- Βόρεια Ιρλανδία
- νησιά της Μάγχης
- και Isle of Man.

Πριν το βήμα της αίτησης στο GMC, πρέπει να επαληθευτεί ο βασικός τίτλος σπουδών (πτυχίο Ιατρικής) μέσω της υπηρεσίας EPIC του ECFMG. Ομοίως, αν διαθέτετε τίτλο ειδικότητα, μπορεί να επαληθευτεί μέσω του ίδιου φορέα. Η UKmed καλύπτει όλα τα στάδια με μια μοναδική ολοκληρωμένη υπηρεσία. Αν στο παρελθόν περάσατε μέσω EPIC το πτυχίο σας λ.χ. λόγω USMLE ή εγγραφής σε ιατρικό μητρώο χώρας που απαιτεί επαλήθευση, τότε ενδέχεται να μην χρειαστεί να ξανακάνετε την ίδια διαδικασία.
